The Melbourne Cup is one of Australia's most beloved racing events and has always been a chance to socialise, wear the latest fashion, and to enjoy a a wine - or several.
However, due to the pandemic, these celebrations will look a little different this year.
The Melbourne Cup Sparkling Luncheon event promises to fill the gap for locals with a three-course lunch coupled with premium wines, a live performance from a TSO duo, all the race action on the big screen, a showcase, prizes, sweeps, and swag bags.
The event also observes the well-known "Fashions on the Field" and takes if further with live hand-drawn portrait keepsakes by Tasmanian illustrator and artist Agnieszka Sikorska-Meikle.
Cellar door manager Ian White said the event will have a "relaxed, garden party" feel to it.
"Everyone is dying for an opportunity to get out, get dressed up, and do something."

Mr White said the iconic racing event is more than just a horse race to the community.
"It's fashion, and the overall experience, sparkling [wine] has a strong experience with the event as well. It becomes more about an experience than a sporting event," he said.
The celebration comes just shy of a month before restrictions will ease on December 1 for events.
"We started to listen to the proposed borders reopening and when things were starting to open in Tasmania," Mr White said.
"It was perfect timing to be able to launch something."
Mr White said they had been well supported by locals since their reopening in June and are now in a position to draw on that support and help other local businesses and people.
Tickets to the experience cost $180 or, for Clover Hill members, $165. Transport via bus both to and from the event from Launceston is also included in the ticket price.
