Regardless of which feline you were fond of, there were a number of events on the calendar in the suburbs of Launceston.
Sporties Hotel and the Launceston cricket and soccer clubs hosted public events, and Country Club Tasmania, which normally hosts a well attended affair, had to pivot this year due to COVID-19.
The fact the game was played later in the year, and later in the day was a factor in a smaller event at the country club this year.
With restrictions in place, plenty of punters chose to watch the game from home.

North west Richmond supporters group got together to watch their Tigers battle it out at member Sharee Narracott's house in Waverley.
Seventeen members of the group were in attendance - in keeping with COVID-19 regulations - and Ms Narracott dressed her house in yellow and black for the occasion.
"It's going to be tough, but I hope the Tigers do it," Ms Narracott said.
"I've followed the Tigers all through 'save our skins' ... stuck through them through all the bad and now we are shining."
North west Richmond supporters group president Terry Murray said the group has about 200 members on the books from all across Tasmania.
He said some supporters had even made the trip from Hobart for the day.
"I'm quietly confident, but not overly confident. It's going to be a real tough game," Mr Murray said.
Asked how they would feel if the Tigers went down, both Ms Narracott and Mr Murray said were proud of their team who had stuck with it through a tough year.
