Ms Cocker found that there weren't a lot of family friendly gyms in the area, so she came up with a solution and started her own - Unite Fitness at Waverley.
"With having two young kids we found its really hard to get into exercise," Ms Cocker said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"One, with young kids because you don't have the time and two, because hubby works and I don't always have someone to look after them."
The gym offers functional style workouts, similar to Crossfit and F45, with a supervised creche for children.
"We find this side of town there aren't many functional fitness facilities so we offer something different," Ms Cocker said.
"We have some older clients that train to keep up with their grandkids, we have some classes for teenagers to get them into balancing fitness in their lifestyle.
"We've got some footy players in who get help with their strength, and stay-at-home mums, and even a stay-at-home dad, who use the gym during the day.
"We wanted to take the hassle out of exercise, and give parents that option to bring their children and know that they're being looked after and entertained."
The gym is located at 4c Swanston Park Drive.
