The proponent of the End-of-Life Choices Bill, Mike Gaffney, said if the bill was to pass the upper house, it will be presented before the House of Assembly on November 10.
"The members of the upper house are to be congratulated on their recognition of the importance to the Tasmanian community of this significant legislation," he said.

The bill will be debated between 9am and 10pm when parliamentary sittings resume on October 27.
Mr Gaffney said if the bill is not finalised on Tuesday night, the Legislative Council may need to be reconvened on Friday.
It is conceivable that if the bill is passed in the upper house, it could well be debated and finalised by the lower house by mid- December," he said.
"With New Zealand, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales are all making inroads into the voluntary assisted dying space, I trust that the Tasmanian Parliament will vote in favour of the End-of-Life Choices (VAD) Bill and let the commission begin its work in a timely manner."
