The evening boasts an all-female lineup for the next installment of the Grand Evenings Poetry series and includes guest speakers and work by Dorothea McKellar, Wislawa Symborska, Gwen Harwood, Judith Wright, Naomi Shihab Nye, Carol Ann Duffy, Mary Oliver, and Maya Angelou.
Theatre North programs manager Stuart Loone said it was wonderful to partner with the Tasmanian Poetry Festival for the event as it brings "really compelling powerful voices".
"If you've got a room with 18 guest readers there of that calibre, it's going to be a really diverse evening and have a certain electricity to it," he said.
