Launceston's player-coach was hit hard by the league's judiciary and as a result will sit out the first three matches of his team's premiership defence next season.

A report for striking North Launceston's Alex Lee in Saturday's grand final at UTAS Stadium was deemed to be intentional with medium impact and high contact, which attracts a base sanction of three matches.

This was increased to four as it came in a grand final but reduced to three with an early guilty plea, which Thorp accepted.

Further charged with instigating a melee, Thorp was offered a base sanction of one match which he reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

The MRP also felt a strike by Blue Jamieson House on Bomber Bart McCulloch should be graded intentional, with low impact and high contact. House accepted a sanction of two matches, reduced to one with an early guilty plea.

Both clubs were referred for engaging in a melee and will be sanctioned.

Tom Donnelly (North Launceston) was charged with striking Alec Wright (Launceston) as a result of the melee. Once again, the MRP graded the strike as intentional, with low impact and body contact.

Donnelly has been offered a base sanction of one match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea. He had until Monday evening to accept or reject the offer.

No further action was deemed necessary against Launceston's Miller Hodge for a striking report.

The misdemeanours were not limited to just the seniors' showpiece.

North's Blade Sulzberger was deciding whether to contest a charge arising from the Development League grand final.

A report for striking Launceston's Denzel McLean was graded as intentional, with low impact and body contact.

Sulzberger has been offered a base sanction of one match, which can be reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.
