FIRST QUARTER
Fifty-two seconds was all it took for North Launceston live-wire and former Blue Jack Rushton to hit the scoreboard.
Tensions flared between Mitch Thorp, Jackson Callow and Alex Lee before it boiled over into a massive quarter-time melee sparked by an Arion Richter-Salter bump on Fletcher Seymour.
SECOND QUARTER
Callow's rough start continued as he turned one over straight to Jay Blackberry on the mark to set up Dylan Riley alone.
THIRD QUARTER
Late in the third term, North captain Brad Cox-Goodyer stood up and booted North to a seven-point lead with a Lance Franklin-like left to right bend from the 50-metre arc. But it would be opposing leader Jobi Harper who would slot an unlikely after-the-siren goal to spark the Blues.
FINAL QUARTER
South Launceston alumni Michael Musicka, Riley and Blackberry combined with Casey Brown for a major highlight around the 14-minute mark of the last. Musicka sold some candy, handballed to Brown who booted long to Riley as the Hudson Medallist tapped to advantage twice, weaved his way along the boundary - keeping the ball in - before passing over opponents to Blackberry in the square.
