There was 87,510 megalitres of water delivered in 2019-20, up from 64,784 megalitres.

The figure represents a huge leap from the 11,207 megalitres the irrigation body was providing to farmers in 2012.

Tasmanian Irrigation chief executive Andrew Kneebone said the company had a plan to deliver 168,998 megalitres of water by 2025.

He said it aimed to have a portfolio of irrigation infrastructure valued at more than $680 million, 55 power stations and 24 dams.

Tasmanian Irrigation has 17 irrigation schemes in Tasmania. The first water deliveries are expected to start from an irrigation scheme in Scottsdale in December.

Company chairwoman Samantha Hogg said the company was able to adapt to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic to avoid delay on the project.

She said water sales and preferred design option development was underway for the another five irrigation projects.

"This investment of $262 million will add an additional 46,025 megalitres of irrigation capacity to farmers in the Don, Fingal, Northern Midlands, Sassafras Wesley Vale and Tamar regions," she said in the report.

The company's five-member board of directors received combined remuneration of $236,349.

Ms Hogg was paid $82,421.

Its team of executives were paid $1.23 million.

Mr Kneebone was paid a total package of $346,863, which included the cost of a vehicle. Salaries are set by the Government Business Executive Remuneration Panel.
