There may not have been any action from the South Launceston Bulldogs this season, but that won't stop them from having a ball at their 17th AFL Grand Final luncheon next week.

With a season unlike any other, club president Wayne Mitchell said the impact of COVID may alter how the event is held this year.
"It certainly is different, we're in unprecedented times ... we've had to possibly cut numbers back," he said.
Mitchell said depending on ticket sales, the luncheon may be expanded to two areas virtually connected to one another.
"It's different but I think the patrons will love it," he said.
As well as table numbers being down-sized from 10 to eight, Mitchell said COVID-19 had also impacted Bulldog guest speakers.

"What it has forced us to do this year is get together and get all-Tasmanian speakers because we can't get people from interstate," he said.
"In saying that, we've got some great speakers."
The luncheon's lineup includes VFL notables Garry Baker and the notoriously softly spoken Brent Crosswell.
"He's [Crosswell] has a very dry and great sense of humour as well as a great reputation in the VFL back in the day," Mitchell said.
In other news:
The day will also see an appearance from Burnie Docker and freshly retired AFL midfielder-forward Maverick Weller.
"We're looking to those guys on the day making for another entertaining luncheon for the patrons," Mitchell said.
"We try and cater to all eras ... a lot of the guys remember the VFL and some remember AFL players ... they're three icon names in the state and we're looking forward to it."
Mitchell said the luncheon would be the first of its size to be held for some time, making it a great opportunity for the Bulldogs family to come together after a long year.
"Everyone's hanging out to get back to normal ... with some exceptions," he said.
"But let's get out and do some networking again and see people we haven't seen in a while.
"We've been doing it hard for the past nine months and this is an opportunity to sit back, have some fantastic food, enjoy a beverage and listen to some great speakers."
Mitchell added that it had not only been a tough year for the club, but its sponsors as well.
"It just gives us another opportunity to support our sponsors ... they're doing it as tough as we have ... whatever we can do to try and assist that we'll certainly do," he said.
