On Wednesday his growing resume swelled to include player of the year - an achievement he said would pale in comparison to a grand final win on Saturday.
"It's obviously a good honour to get acknowledged for individual stuff but to be honest I haven't really thought about it too much at moment, I've been focused 100 per cent on this weekend," Harper said.
"I think it's the support around me that's helped ... you aren't able to win things like this if you're in a weaker side usually, so being in a stronger side makes it easier to win awards like this."
A 2013 premiership winner and Darrel Baldock Medallist with South Launceston, the 27-year-old polled 14 votes to finish two clear of teammate Dylan Riley and continue an outstanding week of individual success for Launceston.
"The club's in a really good place on the field and off the field, you go down to the under-18s on the weekend and you see the D-league and senior players cheering on the last quarter," Harper said.
"You saw the under-18 players cheering us on on the weekend, Hamish [Leedham] doing well in the development league best and fairest, Dyl winning the goalkicking, Mitch [Thorp] coach of the year - we're starting to build a really good group and it's a really good place to be at the moment."
