Clarence pushed the Bombers twice earlier this year and looked hot early in Saturday's preliminary final, slotting three of the first four goals with Noah Holmes' first-term 50m roost the pick of the bunch.
But the Bombers turned the table in the second term and kicked all 14 of the game's remaining majors to cruise home 15.8 (98) to 3.2 (20).
North finished the game injury-free and enter grand final week with the welcome problem of fitting Jackson Callow into a side that had 22 genuine contributors.
"Some guys were down early but then played really well late and that's a good thing to have," coach Taylor Whitford said.
"Baynen Lowe, Jack Avent, Jack Rushton, these guys were a little slow to get out of the gates but I thought they had a really good second half of the second quarter and took it on from there.
"Credit where credit's due, Clarence's pressure was hot - it was really fierce out there.
"Coming into today, I thought we weren't as sharp as what we needed to be and the boys got a bit of a slap in the face at quarter time but they regrouped really well and after that point I thought we were really good."
North's second-term comeback began with a jaw-dropping boundary line finish from Whitford's left foot and finished with two opportunistic majors from returning forward Tom Bennett (three goals).
Josh Ponting looked worse for wearing a heavy tackle late in the second but was back for the first bounce of the third term, however Roos tall Wade Wall (knee) was less fortunate, sitting out most of the second half.
With Arion Richter-Salter and Corey Nankervis keeping Josh Green and Chris Nield subdued in defence, the Bombers continued to add to the margin with Mark Walsh, Bart McCulloch and Brad Cox-Goodyer all hitting the scoresheet in the second half.
Hillwood recruit Dan Withers kicked three in a terrorising final term display to finish with five for the game.
"He could've probably kicked more than that - his finishing was a little bit hit-and-miss but he's playing a really good role for us," Whitford said.
"He's an NTFA midfielder but he's come here and understood he's not being the number one, he's coming in and just doing a job and that's something I think our club does really well, just doing their job, and his job was up forward today."
Roos coach Jeromey Webberley said conceding three forward-50 stoppage goals in the second term had halted his side's early momentum.
"We started the game really well, we thought we had to tidy a bit of stoppage stuff up at quarter time but we just couldn't get the right mix," he said.
"Alex Lee in the ruck puts it on a platter and they've got some stars in there ... they just dominated stoppage.
"They're just a really good team - we got beaten by a better team on the day, a team that's played together for a long time and they know their system."

Netting just three wins in 2019, the Roos downed Launceston in round six and twice came within three goals of North in a 5-7 home and away campaign.
Webberley said there were plenty of positives for his side heading into next year.
"I suppose as an overview for the season - equal last last year, prelim against the best team of the last 10 years - we've come a long way," the ex-Richmond midfielder said.
"We understand we've got to continue to grow and develop.
"We've taken a big step forward as a club and we need to continue to take steps forward, so that's the really exciting part and the guys have seen what hard work and dedication to the Clarence footy club can do for them now it's just a matter of buying back into that for another 12 months."
