The TSL development league decider will be an all-Northern affair for the second time in three years after North Launceston and Launceston took contrasting paths to preliminary final victories.

At UTAS Stadium the reigning premiers trailed by five points at the half before over-running Kingborough 9.8 (62) to 5.9 (39).
The result came just two weeks after a 51-point loss to the same opponent and came off the back of big performances from wingmen Michael Stingel and Liam Davies.

"The key for us I think in the second half was opening the game up and getting the runners involved," coach Brenton Gale said.
"I think in the first half they tied the ball up around the stoppage really well, but after half time we had a real focus on getting the ball to the outside, being clean with the ball inside and then getting our runners used through the wings."
Gale paid tribute to coaching assistants Adam Sanders, Lyndon Stubbs and Jimmy Storay before praising the resilience of his players.
"I'm super proud of the group - from a few weeks ago when we weren't playing great footy to turn it around and be playing the footy we are now and give ourselves the chance to win a premiership, I'm really proud," he said.
"Another grand final - you play footy to play finals don't you, so it's about performing on the big stage, rising to the occasion and it's a privilege to be playing under the pressure - the boys are lapping it up."
Across the river at Windsor Park, minor premiers Launceston were forced to fight for their grand final spot - going right down to the wire in their 3.7 (25) to 2.11 (23) win over North Hobart.
The Blues easily accounted for the Demons twice this season but certainly didn't have it their own way this time around in the low-scoring yet hard-hitting encounter.
Tall North Hobart forward Jack McCulloch got the Demons on the board early in the first as it looked like the home side would go through the quarter goalless.
But skipper Jack Colgrave stood up, converting a classy set shot after the siren to give them momentum into the second.
They grabbed the first of the term after 14 minutes of no majors before Cooper Leek answered, giving the visitors a three-point lead at the main break - which saw tensions flare in an ongoing scuffle.
Key forwards Trey Clark and Michael Larby looked dangerous but were unable to hit the scoreboard as the second half only featured one major.
It would be Archie Wilkinson who put the nail in North Hobart's coffin with a floating snap out of contested play early in the fourth as the Demons had their chances to come back but couldn't seal the deal.
