The Lightning's shooting in game one was admirable, but it wasn't enough to defeat a hungry Hobart Phoenix Team.
Launceston had an impressive performance all-round, with Sejr Deans (pictured right) dominating from downtown, sinking seven threes and finishing with 25 points.
The Lightning fell in their second game against the Ulverstone Redhoppers 76-60.

Women's
Launceston Lightning's women came out swinging in their 2020 State League basketball debut, trouncing KHBA Kings 83-42.
This was aided by an impressive outing for Tornadoes veteran Olivia Chugg, who totalled 30 points.
Sadly in their second match for the day, the Burnie Tigers proved too strong, etching a 57-54 win.
This was in no small part due to a solid offensive duo of Burnie's Mariah Payne and Ellie Collins, who combined for 52 points.
