The Shamrocks were announced as last season's premiers weeks after the 2019-20 grand final was cancelled due to COVID-19 and the two regular suspects will renew hostilities on Saturday.
The opening round of the Cricket North season sees the NTCA complex become a hive of activity as the number one ground hosts Launceston and Riverside and the number two hosts the rematch.

Clubs will be thrust into Greater Northern Cup contests the following week with Riverside and Mowbray heading along the Bass Highway to Wynyard and Sheffield respectively.
October 17 will also see the women's first grade and men's second grade competitions kick start - with the latter reduced to a five-team affair following the withdrawal of George Town, who have since joined the TCL.
T20s are set to be played across a gala weekend on January 9-10 with the final to be played on the following Thursday.
The league's traditional three-day first grade grand final is scheduled to be played at the NTCA Ground on March 26-28, while the Greater Northern Cup will be decided on Sunday, January 24 at the highest-qualifying venue.
