Early Saturday morning police responded to an altercation between two men outside their residence on Flinders Street at Beauty Point.
A 46-year-old man sustained an injury to his neck caused by a projectile from a stun device, police say.
He was later taken to Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A 41-year-old Beauty Point man was arrested at the scene and the stun device was recovered.
He has been bailed to appear at the Launceston Magistrates Court.
It was an isolated incident with both men known to each other, police say.
