Bouwman moved to the Eagles from West Coburg in 2019 and was immediately named at centre half-forward in division one coaches' team of the year.
He booted 46 majors from his new side's 18 games last season and while Evandale didn't field any teams in the 2020 opt-in NTFA Shield, Bouwman took his talents to Meander Valley - named in their best players on every occasion.
He takes over the reins from 2019 co-coaches Alex Payne and Jack Maher, who succeeded James Storay in the role.
NTFA FINALS FEVER
Bouwman joins reserves stalwart Rickie Wells and women's leader Andrew Boyd as the Eagles' coaching group.
In other coaching news, Bridgenorth's Bobby Beams has again been named mentor of the Parrots' women's side.
Under Beams' leadership the Parrots won four games to make finals in their first season before falling to eventual premiers Scottsdale in the 2020 shield.
Thanks to Gary Shipton's retirement, Bridgenorth have a new senior men's coach in Phil Lethborg while Chris Walker (reserves) and Ollie Wood (under 18s) round out the 2021 appointments.
