A development application was lodged with the Northern Midlands Council to operate a farm gate kiosk and to eventually build a cafe at 790 Hobart Road.

Bioberries Tas co-owner Stuart Thomas said initially it would only be the farm gate set up and the cafe would be built further down the track.
"This season we're looking at a little on farm sort of berry sales point, but it'll probably just be coffees and some ice cream," he said.
"The aim is to get it open by the start of December."
The DA proposes the kiosk will sell blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, along with coffee and other small treats. Before, hopefully, branching into a cafe that aims to employ eight full time staff and expand the amount of produce on offer.
The DA closed for public comment on September 25 and the council is yet to make a decision on it.
