
Feedback from the community will help to inform the final designs for the Ben Lomond public shelter.
About 40 people from the community attended a drop-in session to view the designs for the proposed public shelter on September 19. The preliminary designs for the public shelter and a proposed multipurpose building were on display to the public for the first time.

A Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman said the feedback was "overwhelmingly positive" from attendees.
"All feedback will be considered by PWS in informing the final design [for the shelter]," they said.

Architects Cumulus Studio won the design tender. PWS commissioned the shelter following a fire that destroyed the Ben Lomond Alpine Hotel in 2018.
