Two-time Supercar champion and former Nascar driver Marcos Ambrose was passing on some tips at Launceston Kart Club's Archerville track.
Organisers said the day was a great learning experience, with Ambrose teaching the fundamentals of racing by sharing his past experiences and knowledge with newcomers in the karting community.
"It was a ripping success," he said.

"I enjoyed sharing my knowledge of racing with all the kids and families who travelled from all over Tasmania to attend the event.
"Lots of personal bests were set throughout the day, and smiles were seen by the kids."
Karting across the state has seen a surge in participants since returning in early May after COVID-19 lockdowns and Ambrose encouraged anyone interested to get involved with the sport.
"Hopefully, anybody interested in kart racing can see what a great community we have and get energised to join in. Karting in Tasmania is booming and the competition is high."
The next race meeting is on the weekend of October 24-25 for the Archerville classic, a new event with a unique format that promises to see some action-packed racing.
