Despite shortened competitions due to the enforced COVID break, athletes aged from under-12 to under-18 from the North, North-West and South were excited to be back on the floor.
BT's Scott Boucher said the "big ticket item" at the TriSeries is the under-14 competition, with the winners normally heading off to national club championships, although this year's titles have been cancelled.
The TriSeries also provides opportunities for older under-16 and under-18 athletes soon to head into a new age group to polish up their skills against the best of their peers.
Boucher said the TriSeries, which provides under-12s with their first taste of regional competition, normally has one round in each region of the state, giving athletes the chance to play all across Tasmania and families the opportunity to support them closer to home.
