Silverdome co-tenants Cavaliers and Northern Hawks will meet in next Saturday's decider after both overcame southern opposition.
Hawks co-coach Ruth Tuohy admitted to some nerves in the camp leading to a tight first half against Cripps before her team imposed some social distancing with a 70-49 win.
"We took a long time to get settled and they took advantage of that," she said.
"We took the half-time break to get refocused on our gameplan and from then on we were in control and we're excited with another opportunity in a final."
Runners-up to their Northern rivals last season, the Hawks finished the home and away season unbeaten but struggled to pull away from a Cripps side which had finished with half as many points.
Scores were level approaching the main break but the hosts' two-point half-time lead stretched out to 10 at the next break and doubled in the final term.
Tireless work from Gemma Poke and Tessa Coote led to opposition errors and with captain Danni Pickett providing strong feed for Ash Mawer, a fifth-straight grand final appearance was soon locked in.
Cavaliers also took half a game to pull away but kept their premiership defence on track with a 61-50 win over Kingston.
Coach Dan Roden highlighted the leadership group of Shelby Miller, Deanna Wadley and Lucy Dennis but also the impact of Piper Sanders, teenager Monique Dufty and young shooter Hayley McDougall.
"What we put out there today was a really good brand of netball," he said.
"Kingston are tough opposition, played really well and we knew it would be a grind.
"But the third quarter has become our quarter and after that we really controlled the game."
Both grand finals will be repeats from last year with Cripps and Cavs meeting in the 19s.
