Marginally missing out on finals with a sixth-placed finish in their inaugural season, the Blues finished their 2020 campaign as minor premiers but Toni Scully isn't counting out Scottsdale.
"Even though we finished on top of the ladder, I think we still definitely have that underdog status with Scottsdale being in the last four [grand finals] but we are relishing in it," she said.
"I think we've definitely capitalised on our season last year where we just missed out on finals, we've had a lot of talent come in and we've really connected well."
Scully, who followed partner and team coach Mathew Murfett to the Blues after her netball background, said despite the one-point fright from Meander Valley last week, her side are backing their game style.
NTFA FINALS FEVER
"They [Scottsdale] like to play a very physical game and we like to play a very fast, very clean game - so it will just be making sure we play our game and not get sucked into their style."
Scottsdale have been somewhat of a thorn in the side of Old Launcestonians throughout the season as the only team to have defeated them.
The Blues won their round one contest but Cabel Hall's Magpies swung the ledger with victories in rounds four and eight, which co-captain Georgie Dare described as good match-ups.
Dare joined the Magpies in 2018, missing a premiership win in their inaugural season a year earlier with only three of that side left standing this weekend.
She says Sunday's grand final contest, which will be interesting given the neutral venue of Bridgenorth, is the buzz of the North-East.
"You go down to the local shop and there's the women there behind the counter and everyone is like 'hi, how are you going' and our coach Cabel Hall was at the cattle sales yesterday at Powranna and nearly every second person stopped him and said good luck," she said.
'It's a real community thing that the community gets behind."
The match starts at 1pm.
