The deluge that has hit the North will continue for most of the afternoon but ease up during the weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

According to BOM, between 10-25mm of rain fell in the North across Thursday night and Friday morning.
BOM meteorologist Lizzie Donovan said since Friday morning Launceston had received 8mm of rain.
She said Liawenee was another notably wet area on Friday, receiving 6mm since 9am.
In other news:
About 5-10mm of rainfall is predicted to continue into the evening in the North but will clear leading into Saturday.
"It will be mainly fine in the central north and North East coast on Saturday but we are expecting showers with possible small hail elsewhere ... it's going to be fairly cold, windy and showery so not a great day to go outside," Ms Donovan said.
The snowline in the South and west will drop to 500m on Saturday night, but return to about 1000m during Sunday.
Strong winds between 40 and 60km/h are forecast statewide on Saturday, with gusts of between 80 and 90km/h possible as well.
A Sheep Graziers warning has been issued for the southeast for Saturday.
