When asked by Greens leader Cassy O'Connor in Question Time on Thursday morning, Mr Jaensch denied knowledge of a cabinet decision this year to amend tenancy laws to allow evictions from properties without a genuine or just cause.
Ms O'Connor shortly after produced a leaked cabinet minute which showed such a decision had been made and accused him of misleading the house.

Mr Jaensch said he would review this information and the answer he had given before Parliament.
At the conclusion of Question Time, Ms O'Connor moved to seek leave to debate a motion of no-confidence.
She argued it was unlikely Mr Jaensch would have not been aware of that cabinet decision and had breached the ministerial code of conduct by lying.
Labor leader Rebecca White echoed the same sentiments and said Mr Jaensch would have been well enough across his ministerial brief.
She suggested the leaking of a cabinet document showed that one of Mr Jaensch's colleagues was out to get him.
During debate, Mr Jaensch he could not discuss cabinet information in the public arena.
He said when a decision was made to change the law, a bill is tabled in Parliament.
A motion to seek leave was defeated 10-8 with Clark independent MHA Madeliene Ogilvie voting with the government.
