The reigning league best and fairest answered The Examiner's questions ahead of Saturday's grand final.
Has your side met the season's expectations?
We set a pretty high bar for ourselves at the start of the year knowing that we've built a team from last year with the younger guys and obviously added some top-level talent.
The commitment was there from the get go so we knew that we could be quite competitive with teams.
Our goal was for both teams (under 21s and seniors) to get into the grand final, so we can tick that off and we are pretty happy with that from the perspective of where the culture is at the club but obviously when you hit new goals, you reevaluate and now it is to win two grand finals.
What's the biggest thing you've gotten out of 2020?
Continuity would be what I'd take from it.
I think it will be very difficult for the teams that didn't compete to put teams on the park next year.

They all had their various reasons of course but I see teams like Meander Valley and UTAS, they really worked hard to put a team on the park and they'll be rewarded come next year.
I'd imagine all their players will stay and come back to training rather than have an 18-month layoff like some of the other clubs in the competition.
Who have been your best recruits of 2020?
It would have to be Tyler Kelly and Brayden Butler - two very different players.
He's given me a big chop out with the midfield work and obviously put another player there for them to really focus on coming into big games like the weekend.
- Lochy Dornauf on teammate Brayden Butler
Brayden's commitment to the club really started last year, his girlfriend is from Deloraine and he went to a lot of our functions, was really present and wants the team to get better.
Tyler is probably one of the most skillful players I've ever played with. He's got a basketball background and it really comes through in his football - he's got very good hips and a very good sidestep.
Similar with Brayden, they've got girlfriends and partners that have really thrown themselves into the Deloraine culture.
They've got a group called the "Roo girls" who are quite active and you'll hear them from the sidelines this weekend.
