A 28-year-old Kings Meadows man pleaded not guilty to manufacturing and trafficking methylamphetamine when he appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court.

Jacob Adam Williams, of Kay Street, also pleaded not guilty to trafficking in a controlled substance between July and September 2020, manufacturing a controlled substance, namely pseudoephedrine, manufacturing a controlled drug for sale, namely methylamphetamine, unlawful trafficking in firearms, unlawful possession of property, dealing with the proceeds of crime and dealing with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
Magistrate Ken Stanton committed Mr Williams for trial in the Supreme Court in Launceston with a first directions hearing on November 16.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Police allege Mr Williams was in possession of $51,000 cash when they searched his home on September 18 and also that he was in possession of a gold coloured BMW 520D which they suspect was the proceeds of crime.
Police also allege Mr Williams had a firearm licence, a Visa card and power gel explosives that it says were stolen.
Mr Williams is also charged for selling or otherwise disposing of a Browning pistol,a Beretta pistol and a Ruger pistol between August 3 and August 5, 2020.
Mr Williams also pleaded not guilty to counts of possession of a controlled drug, possessing a thing for the administration of a controlled drug, selling a controlled drug and possessing a firearm and ammunition when not the holder of a licence.
Mr Stanton remanded Mr Williams in custody.
