The $100,000 in grant funding was jointly provided by the George Town Council and Bell Bay Aluminium.
Grants were provided to a variety of operations, including the George Town Bowls Club, the Tasmanian Tamar Tourism Industry Group and salt producer La Saliere.
Bell Bay Aluminium general manager Shona Markham said she was delighted the grants went to nine diverse local businesses.

Co-owner of La Saliere Jean-Luc Curtis-Godillon said the three-year-old business had many orders cancelled and zero orders for three months due to the pandemic.
He said the grant would go towards a new shed for manufacturing as the business starts to return to prominence.
"We're expanding, right now we're doing it out of a garage and one bedroom basically ... we're building a shed and that's going to help us really start producing about 10 times more than we are now," Mr Curtis-Godillon said.
George Town mayor Greg Kieser said the grants were not only about supporting resilient businesses who had struggled recently, but also to ensure that businesses would be positioned for growth.
"We can help them elevate to a new level, create jobs and prosper," he said.
"That's what we're trying to do here not only just insulating our community but uplifting as well."
