The pair have occupied the top two spots on the ladder since round five and were flagged by several captains and coaches as teams to watch during the pre-season.
DELORAINE v SCOTTSDALE
Deloraine booked their place in the grand final with nail-biting 7.5 (47) to 6.7 (43) victory over Scottsdale on the Magpies' home deck.
Dom Shegog (three) and Brayden Butler (two) combined for five of the Kangaroos' majors as the two sides battled through damp conditions in the North-East.

The home side held play early but were unable to make an immediate impact on the scoreboard until coach Ethan Petterwood slotted a picture-perfect set shot to open the account.
That was met by Deloraine majors through prominent forward duo Shaun McCrossen and Tyson Gardam, proving to be the only Kangaroos goals not slotted by Shegog and Butler.
The Kangaroos took a slender lead into the second term, holding the upper hand but like their rivals, were unable to convert it on the scoreboard.
It looked like they'd missed their best chance to score but Butler served up a treat, taking a strong pack mark off the back of an impressive run from skipper Jarrod Scott before turning around and running into goal.
He'd add another in the closing minutes to give the visitors a 19-point main-break lead as Scottsdale were held scoreless in the term.
Petterwood's half-time speech looked to have motivated his charges as Dan Berry made an impact in the opening two minutes, slotting his set shot much to the delight of the vocal crowd.
Shegog would enter the game with a goal-square major but it was met with Mitch Bennett's first as the Pies narrowed the margin to 11 heading into the final stanza.
It would take a strong finish to get the Magpies back in it after kicking three majors in three quarters but Jack Berry and Chev Deacon added to the scoreboard early, wrestling the lead back for the first time since the first term.
Shegog's second would prove to be crucial but his third - and Deloraine's last - against the flow of play would take out the threat of the draw with minutes remaining as he out-muscled Christian Barnes in front.
A James Conroy miss shortened the margin to 10 before Jade Child looked to produce a thing of magic as he marked, played on and got a small handball out to Josh Gray who put the Magpies back in it.
One last roll was the call from the Maggies bench and it proved to be correct as Scott, who was brilliant all day for the Kangaroos, won the tap and it ended up in Butler's hands as the siren sounded, much to the dismay of the home crowd.
Scott's co-captain Stan Tyson was named the Kangaroos' best with Jacob Wauchope and veteran Brad Crowden joining him while Child, Petterwood and Elliot Tyson certainly stood out for Scottsdale.
ROCHERLEA v OLD SCOTCH
Old Scotch's dream run at the NTFA Shield title is officially over with the Thistles tasting a 15.11 (101) to 10.9 (69) defeat at the hands of Rocherlea.
The Tigers roared out of the blocks to create a five-goal buffer at the main break which lasted throughout the match as the minor premiers saw their big names flourish.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
Jacob Hawkins kicked four as Josh Holton (three) and Kaiden and Andrew Cox-Goodyer (both two) joined the party while Corey Cochrane was named their best.
Connor Dixon continued to lead the way for Scotch by kicking three majors while David Morgan was their only other multiple scorer.
Ruckman George Oliver was named their best, joined by the likes of Jock White and Lachlan Gee.
UNDER 21S
In similar fashion to the seniors, two contrasting victories decided the under-21s grand final.
George Town crushed Bracknell 19.18 (132) to 5.1 (31), while Deloraine scraped through in a 7.10 (52) to 6.14 (50) win over Bridgenorth to have two grand final sides playing on their home ground.
