Gravelly Beach operation Darkwood Construction is one Northern Tasmanian based business to use Qoin as an alternate payment option.

Co-owner Matthew Collins said offering a digital currency option for customers was important.

Qoin chief marketing officer Andrew Barker said the economic climate under COVID-19 meant many businesses were looking at new ways of conducting transactions which included using digital currencies.
