NAB's August business survey revealed Tasmania's business conditions improved to a score of 10 on the state-by-state index compared to a score of one in July.
This is compared to most states who still have a negative score in business conditions, despite some improvements.
This included Victoria, who has the lowest business conditions and confidence in Australia at minus 14 and minus 19 respectively.
In other news:
Western Australia is the only other state to join Tasmania in the green in business conditions, moving from minus 9 to three.
Tasmania's confidence in business has also improved, from minus 7 in July to four last month.
Nationwide, retail and mining are the only industries that notched a positive score in August's survey, with construction scoring the worst.
