The 35-year-old man pleaded guilty last week in the Supreme Court in Launceston to two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and three counts of involving a person under the age of 18 in the production of child exploitation material.
The offences occurred at two Northern Tasmanian towns involving three female complainants.
In other news:
Crown prosecutor Luke Brett said the man's behaviour was premeditated and predatory in the extreme.
"He took advantage of the naive nature and youthfulness of the complainants," he said.
The man's defence counsel Mark Doyle said "it really was manipulative, cruel and selfish behaviour".
Mr Brett said that the man used several fake Snapchat names to befriend girls aged 13, 16 and 17 years old between November 2018 and February 2019.
He offered one girl $120,000 if she would take part in a nude photoshoot and have sex with the photographer.
Posing as the photographer he met the girl and took nude photographs.
He also asked her to perform erotic acts and filmed her.
He showed her a fake screenshot purporting to show a payment of $60,000.
He told her she had to perform oral sexual intercourse which she did.
Mr Brett said it was the State's case that she was not consenting and it was therefore rape.
The man befriended a 13-year-old girl and asked her to send photographs of her breasts.
He used a screen recording program to take screenshots, converse to usual Snapchat processes which ensure that images are temporary or disappear.
He sent her pornographic pictures of himself to her and threatened he would cut himself if she stopped sending images.
When a 16-year-old girl blocked him he used a separate identity to threaten her.
She went to a park and into a public toilet where the man was posing as someone else.
He filmed her having oral sexual intercourse with him and indecently assaulted her.
In following days the girl panicked and told friends after the man used an alternative identity to demand vaginal sexual intercourse. Tasmania Police were notified.
Mr Brett said the violation to the victims was significant even though no tangible force was used.
Justice Robert Pearce will sentence on at 2pm on September 25.
