TICT chief executive Luke Martin said the conferences will be the first gatherings of their kind post-COVID lock downs, and would be symbols of the resilience and optimism for the industry.

"Our annual industry conference is usually held mid-year in Launceston, and is always a very positive event with a forward-looking program," Mr Martin said.

"Despite the horrors for our industry this year, we're going to again meet with a sense of resilience, optimism and with one eye firmly to the future."

Mr Martin said the entirely Tasmanian lineup of speakers would discuss the priorities and needs of the industry amid COVID-19 as well as long-term development through the next decade.

Northern and North-West stakeholders will trade places with Southern ones for the two conferences.

Launceston's conference will host Blue Hills Honey's Nicola Harris as well as Bruny Island Cheese and Beer's Nick Haddow, among others.

It will be held on October 29 from 9.30am at the Country Club Launceston.

Hobart's conference will include East Coast Regional Tourism Organisation chairperson Kym Goodes as well as Premier and Treasurer Peter Gutwein.

Stillwater and Black Cow co-owner Bianca Welsh will be the key note speaker.

The Hobart conference will be held at Wrest Point on November 6.

"In Launceston, we'll be having a deep-dive discussion about what we need to do as a state to go to a whole new level as a leading agri-tourism destination," Mr Martin said.

"While in Hobart, we'll be exploring the opportunity for Tasmania to become a global leader for tourism and travel in a climate conscious world, as one of the first truly carbon neutral visitor destinations.

"We'll also be exploring mental wellbeing and hearing the life lessons of some truly exceptional 'newer' Tasmanians - swimming legend Shane Gould ... and Tassie's very own rock star Brian Ritchie."
