On a day when ex-Longford ruckman Michael Larby put on a 10-goal clinic in the development league, Jake Hinds and Mitch Thorp hit the scoreboard early before the Southern Bombers embarked on a run of nine unanswered majors.
Back-to-back third term goals through Hinds (three goals) and Jobi Harper (two) reduced the margin to a retrievable 35 points, but consecutive off-the-ball free kicks and goals snuffed out any momentum.

Young forward Harry Richmond kicked three in the last term to finish with a handful while at the other end Oscar Shaw and Will Poland stifled the Blues' dangerous front arc.
"It's probably the first time we've played a full four-quarter game in a long time that I've been at the club," Lauderdale assistant Clinton Brown said.
"It's good to see them stick to a game plan that we had in place right throughout the game and I think that paid dividends."
Harper (20 touches and 11 clearances) and Brendan Taylor tried all day for the Blues while Hinds and Dylan Riley enjoyed flashes of brilliance.
For Lauderdale, defender Josh McGuinness starred in a new on-ball role.
"We tried something different today and put Josh into the midfield, he's been getting tagged at half-back and we thought we'd release him a little bit," Brown said.
"It show the quality of the player that he was able to go into the middle and rack up nearly 30 possessions and 10 tackles so he certainly led from he front today.
"Harry probably flies under the radar a little bit because we've got Tyler Martin and Tou [Havea] up forward so they're probably our key focal points, but Harry gets the third defender and floats across the front.
"He's got really good hands and his finishing today was extraordinary."
