The event, shut down because of COVID-19 restrictions, will once again allow the community to experience amazing foods from different cultures without leaving the comfort of Launceston.
Several stalls will sell tasty dishes from places right around the world including Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Italy and England.
In other news:
Event co-organisers Jaewon Chae said there would be 13 different stalls to choose from and something for everyone.
"Come and enjoy the market, but just be aware we are still under the restrictions," she said.
World Street Eats will abide by COVID restrictions and each stall will be spread out generously within the square to exercise social distancing.
The event will also encourage visitors to collect their food from the stall and then move to a nearby park or back home to enjoy the meal.
Another co-organisers Pearl Chinthammit said World Street Eats would be a great opportunity for stallholders to start opening up again.
"The stallholders are very excited too because a lot of them are running mobile food business as their full-time jobs, and not having any events or markets is really affecting them," she said.
"We bring in cuisines from a very diverse culture within the community of Launceston and bring them all together for people to share."
Small Grain, an Asian infusion street food business, owners Hide and Lydia Nakano said the market will help their business greatly.
"Most of our business is we do markets and we do events so as soon as COVID came in we were done, we were out," Ms Nakano said.
"So with Friday Night markets starting up and World Street Eats starting up, you're going to make a massive difference to us financially."
Mr Nakano said it will be good to see the support from locals again.
"I think people still want to go outside so I think it will be busy," he said.
World Street Eats will be back every second and fourth Sunday of each month until April and will run from 10am-2pm.
Entry into the market is free.
