Annie Reitsema scored two, including one direct from a corner, Jess Robinson also claimed a brace, one from the penalty spot, with Dani Gunton and an own goal completing the rout.
"We were incredibly flat in the first half but were fired up after a talk at the break and began to play our brand of attacking possession-based football," said United coach Cameron Heazlewood.
NORTHERN RANGERS won the battle of the past two champions with a 5-2 victory at RIVERSIDE OLYMPIC.
Moana Chamberlain gave the visitors an early lead but Meg Connolly equalised from long range just before the break.
Febey Pearce restored Rangers' lead before Olympic again hit back through Mia Findlay.
Two late goals from Abbie Chugg and a stunner from Emma Langley saw the visitors home.
"I'm happy to get the win just to prove we are the better side," said Rangers coach Ian Loft.
Riverside's Jo Haezebrouck was magnanimous in defeat. "They were the better team. Against a side like that, everyone has to be on top of their game, we weren't and they deserved to win."
Victoria Zawko, Joanne Hodge and Kiara Walsh scored in LAUNCESTON CITY's 7-3 loss at Burnie.
In the men's competition, LAUNCESTON UNITED had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Somerset despite having led 3-0 at the break.
Aidan Rigby, Will Rodman and Sam Lowe had the hosts in total control at Birch Avenue before the wheels were blown off.
"The wind blew its head off but we should have played better going into it," said United coach Glenn Reading.
"And the game should have been over and done with before then."
NORTHERN RANGERS coach Fernando Munoz wasn't happy after getting sent off while watching his side lose 4-2 at RIVERSIDE.
Despite his broken English, the Chilean picked up two yellow cards for dissent.
"I think game cannot improve with standard of the referees. It is not consistent," he said. "But everybody have bad days - the ref, player and me the coach."
Dan Sparshott gave Rangers a first-minute lead before a Lachlan Medhurst own goal and silky Mitch Jones strike put Olympic ahead.
Adhar Ngor levelled the scores but Rhys Kinslow decided the match by scoring the third and setting up the fourth for Liam Poulson.
"That was some of the best football we've played all year," purred Riverside coach Wayne Penfold.
"We knocked it around beautifully, were patient and it was a pleasure to watch."
Second half goals from Josh Bula and Noah Mies earned LAUNCESTON CITY a 2-0 win at Burnie - their first victory in four matches.
