Jumping over from NTFA outfit Meander Valley Suns to improve herself against the best after being approached by North, 26-year-old Dalco hasn't looked back since.
"The team is quite young, so there's not many of us old people but they're a really positive team and they are only going to improve over the years," she said.
She admits that taking on the league's best forwards such as Jessie Williams and Sarah Skinner has been hard but has taken it head on - accepting the challenge.

"You can only do what you can do and you just try and work as hard as what your mids are doing in the centre there to stop them from scoring - it's a team game.
"They are all tough, they are all fast and they are all tall."
Dalco will miss her first game of the season this week due to a lingering achilles issue, but 17-year-old multi-sport talent Blair is more than ready to take on Launceston on Sunday.
The Northern derby will be her second of the week, having represented the Cavaliers in Friday night's under-19 State League netball clash against the Northern Hawks.
While she says that juggling the two commitments can at times be a struggle, she is eager for the Launceston clash, facing off against former East Launceston and Scotch Oakburn teammates Amy Halaby, Bianca White and Camilla Taylor.
Playing two games of NAB League football for the Tasmania Devils before COVID-19 put a stop to their season, Blair is loving the transition from junior to senior competition.
"It's a lot different to what I am used to definitely. It's a more fast-paced game and definitely a lot more stronger bodies to go up against," she said.
"[Being a part of the Devils] helped with my skill-based training and learning different set-ups - allowing me to step up to the next level of football."
North Launceston forward-line coach Claudia Matteo has watched the duo progress during the season and enjoyed the way they've been welcomed into the side.
"Jemma is progressing quite well and we've got quite a lot of young players still in the team this year, so it's all about developing over the next few years and trying to get a strong base around the club," she said.
"She brings a bit of speed and talent to the the team as Genevieve brings the height and strength to the back line that we've been looking for.
"We lost some stronger people through last year and we are trying to build up that back line again and Genevieve has been a good input for that with her strength and height."
