Former chief executive Trisha Squires has moved on from the role and will now be head of AFL Queensland, with Damian Gill set to step into her shoes as the head of AFL Tasmania.
Previously state manager of public affairs and infrastructure for AFL Tasmania, Gill becomes the third leader in as many years following Rob Auld's 2018 departure.

The changes were announced on Monday as a part of the AFL's new organisational model as the league deals with challenges arising from COVID-19.
"Community Football at all levels will always remain a priority," AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan said.
"Each state and territory has different challenges and areas of focus, but a national model of co-ordinated programs with localised delivery will help each market grow the game and provide the necessary support to our community leagues and clubs."
