State Health Commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks urged anyone whose GP referred them for a coronavirus test between Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 to contact the Public Health Hotline to rearrange their test.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Referrals made between Thursday ... and yesterday have not been properly processed, and test bookings may not have been made for some patients within the normal time-frames," she said.
"Anyone affected by this should continue to isolate and contact the Public Health Hotline.
"The department has also notified GPs and requested that they re-process any referrals that may have been affected."
It is only GP referrals to the Health Department that have been affected by the error. All other forms of referrals have been processed correctly.
"The department sincerely apologises to any patients who have been affected by this issue, which has now been resolved," Ms Morgan-Wicks said.
