Ms Barron described the theft of about $2000 worth of tools as a tough pill to swallow and said it left her questioning if people valued what they do at the house.
But about one month on her faith has been restored after an outpouring of community kindness has helped them raise enough money to replace the tools.
In other news:
Ms Barron said people have come in and donated money or gift cards to help them replace what was taken.
"It has been super amazing ... without us asking the communities turned up at the door with a voucher for us or some money for us," she said.
"Even if it's 20 bucks or whatever people have been really generous and want to give.
"That sense of community is restored because ... mostly people understand that we're trying to help people and they want to be apart of that."
One business in particular has chipped in $1300 in order to help the house resupply.
Cottage Bakery co-owner Vanessa Lodge said they wanted to give back to the community which had helped them survive this year.
She said locals had made a point to come into the bakery and so they wanted to give back.
"When we heard what happened we wanted to help [the house] somehow replace their tools," Mrs Lodge said.
"We wanted to give back to the community because the community has been really good to us, it is always good to us, but since COVID-19 they have been extremely supportive."
Mrs Lodge said by giving to the community house she hoped to be able to help some people doing it tough.
"They help those who need help the most ... there was a need there so we thought if we can help we might as well," she said.
Ms Barron said the tools would help the house produce food in the community garden.
"We're in the process of building a poly-tunnel so that we can grow veggies all year round," she said.
"[The shed] is a place where a lot of our volunteers have somewhere to hang out and do something constructive."
