Unbeaten through 16 games in 2019, the Blues were stunned in a three-point grand final thriller as Clarence pulled off the most unlikely of upsets.
Launceston has had to wait the best part of 12 months for its shot at redemption and has a tough task on its hands with the Roos making an ominous start to 2020.
The Blues lost for the first time against a physical Glenorchy last round but are confident of bringing their best footy in a 9.30am start.
"We're really super excited to play Clarence," Taylor said.
"We haven't faced off with them since the grand final last year - it's obviously still in the back of our minds but we're definitely not focusing on that loss.
"It's been 12 months and we've only lost the two games, so really in hindsight we've had a great season.
"I wouldn't say that we hold a grudge against Clarence, it's not like that at all, we just want to do better for ourselves and as a team."
Ex-captain Ashlee Carey will miss the clash, while recently-traded Collingwood tall Abbey Green has been named as an emergency while she nurses a knee complaint.
The pair's absence has paved the way for NWFL talent Abbie Hoiberg-Cox to debut in the biggest game of the season to date.
"Abbie's a young girl from Wynyard and it's her time to debut this week so hopefully she'll have a good game and we'll get a win for her," Taylor said.
"She's quite fit and fast - we've got her lining up in the back-line to get some fast legs off the back-line.
"I think it'll be a really great game for her to step up and see what TSL is all about."
