Following the revelation that the NBL trademarked five potential names for the incoming 10th side, The Examiner ran an online poll and after more than 250 votes, the Timbers came out on top.

The most-popular option secured 65 votes to lock in 25.67 per cent of the audience, followed by early leader Pride (57 votes), Mountaineers (46), Jack Jumpers (44) and Tridents (40).
The poll, which garnered worldwide interest with votes placed from Macao, New Zealand, Serbia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America, was closed on Friday - the same day the league's naming competition for the side came to an end.
While the Timbers moniker has potentially captured the hearts of the general public, former Hobart Chargers president David Bartlett originally came out in support of the Pride nickname before "jumping ship" to the Tridents.
"Three regions, one state, one weapon. #StickAForkInEm," he posted on Twitter last week.
