A North-West man aged in his 60s has tested positive to coronavirus at the North West Regional Hospital.

The man was a patient who was transferred from Victoria where he was receiving medical care, an email to Tasmanian Health Service staff from Secretary and State Health Commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks said.
"I am advised that we are confident that our systems and processes in transferring the patient to the COVID ward at the NWRH was under appropriate infection control protocols," she wrote.
"As a precaution we will contact each staff member involved in care of the patient to conduct a look back and ensure they are monitored for any symptoms."
Premier Peter Gutwein confirmed that the patient had tested positive after previously testing negative.
Mr Gutwein said this took Tasmania's total tally of cases to 228.
The premier provided the update at a press conference intended to discuss the recently announced electoral results from the Rosevear recount.
"We now, once again, have one active case," he said.
"The man had previously tested negative, which is what occurs with patients transferring back from Victorian Health facilities.
"We do have Tasmanians who go to Melbourne for a range of medical reasons. They are tested before they are brought back, they are dealt with under strict protocols and then they are isolated here.
"I'm advised that the man is under appropriate care at the North West Regional, and I wish him well for his recovery."
Shadow Health Minister Sarah Lovell said the case reinforced Labor's calls for the government to "tighten loopholes" in the state's COVID-19 protections.
"Tasmanians need to be reassured that as a state we have learned the lessons from the last outbreak in the state's North West," she said.
"The potential has always been there for Tasmania to get new cases of COVID-19, and our protections are only as good as the weakest link in the chain.
"Labor calls on the government to follow the recommendations of the Premier's own Social and Economic Advisory Council and explain to Tasmanians what its plan is to manage a new outbreak of COVID-19 in the state."
