A day removed from his 25th birthday, Geelong's Jake Kolodjashnij became a part of a niche statistic following his 100th game.

Drafted from Launceston at pick 41 in the 2013 national draft, the key defender became just the 44th AFL player to reach the milestone without kicking a major - squandering a considerable chance in the wet against Fremantle earlier this year.
Often described as the embodiment of a classic defender, Kolodjashnij was as useful as ever on Monday night, with all of his 12 disposals listed as effective in the Cats' dominant 59-point win over the previously-rampaging Saints.
Plenty of work, sacrifices and determination to get to this point. Look forward to watching the next 100

His five marks (all of which were uncontested), three tackles and singular score involvement saw him collect disposals ranging from centre half-back to the upper left wing.
One of four players managed for Geelong's round-10 match-up against North Melbourne as the Cats embarked on four matches in 13 days, Kolodjashnij was made to wait five extra days for his induction into the centurion club.
In doing so, he followed Jack Riewoldt (272 games), Grant Birchall (256), Mitch Robinson (201), Liam Jones (134), Tom Bellchambers (134), Ben Brown (130) and Aaron Hall (119) as current Tasmanians playing the game to reach 100 matches.

While non-identical twin brother Kade, who was drafted to Gold Coast at pick five in the same draft but now sits at Melbourne, is yet to reach the milestone, he led the pre-game well wishes to his backyard kick-to-kick partner.
"100 hard earned games. Congrats brother @jake_kola8. Plenty of work, sacrifices and determination to get to this point. Look forward to watching the next 100," he posted on Instagram.
He wasn't alone, joined by many Geelong-mad supporters lighting up the social media channels who were eager for the defender to snag his first major, including former teammate Aaron Black who commented "play him up forward. Get him that goal."
While Kolodjashnij celebrated his major achievement on Monday, fellow Tasmanian Chayce Jones was omitted from the struggling Adelaide Crows side after three disposals last round.
