While bringing up his half-century at Collingwood was special for Brody Mihocek, something he takes as much pride in is the length of his overall stay at the Magpies.

You see, 2020 is the 27-year-old's third year on the Magpies' list, and being at the one club for such a period is a new sensation for the Burnie Dockers premiership player, who had to do the hard yards in the VFL first.
Mihocek played his 50th game for the club in Thursday's nine-point win over Sydney at the Gabba, having not missed a game since his debut against Fremantle in round 11, 2018, and despite being drafted as a key defender, has established himself as a very important piece of Collingwood's attack.
"I have never played 50 games for any club that I have been at, so to do it for the Pies in my third year at the Pies is great,'' he said.
"I haven't been at a club for more than two years, apart from the Burnie Dockers, but not really all at senior level there, as I was at Werribee for two and Port [Melbourne] for two, so to just even be at the club for three years is an achievement as well.
"I feel privileged to play 50 straight and know that the body can handle it and it is good to know the value that I can bring to the team, and that definitely shows that the coach has faith in me to keep playing me."
A bonus came when crossing paths with Burnie flag teammate Robbie Fox, with Mihocek saying he "loved" the times they were matched-up, with the Sydney key defender able to get a couple of smothers in.
"I tried to say a few things to him out there and he gave me nothing, as I think his head was right in the game, while I was trying to joke around a bit, but after the game we did have a good chat, and it was good fun,'' he said.
"He said I was a tricky match-up for him and I did well, and that was a good to hear that I am doing the right things as a forward and making it hard for him."
After the anxiety of hub life being thrown on him, and having spent time in Sydney and Perth before Queensland, Mihocek said his attitude was "to enjoy the sunshine" with his partner Polly now with him there.
