The North Launceston 22 that downed Clarence last weekend was the oldest of any side in the competition, boasting an average age of just above 23 and a half years.
This was despite being one of only three teams not to name a player aged 30 or older, with 11 Bombers aged 25 or older.

Multi-premiership small Ben Simpson and Devils pair Jackson Callow and Ollie Sanders were the only teenagers in the side.
North Hobart, who sit second on the ladder despite sitting out round four with the bye, have the second oldest list, sending out a round three team with an average player age of just over 23 years.
The Demons lost some experience last season with Colin Garland (32) and Ollie Di Venuto (37) both exiting, but gained two more 30-year-olds in Michael Fisher (33) and Nathan Hardy (30).
Table-topper Launceston is not far back with an average age of just under 23 years, while winless Kingborough is by far the youngest side with an average age of 22 years.
The Tigers' round four side featured just three players older than 24 - Marcus Davies (29), Samael Rice (27) and Jarryd Drew (25).
Clarence, Glenorchy and Lauderdale all sit around the 22-and-a-half-year mark.
The Pies' average age was brought down by 15-year-old Braidy Simpson and 16-year-old Callum Thompson, while Clarence played nine teenagers in the loss to North Launceston.
Last weekend's clash between Lauderdale and Launceston featured 27 players aged between 19 and 22.
