The Parrots held the advantage last season, but are a different outfit this year, with Shipton to debut another youngster on Saturday.
"I'm quite excited, there's a bit of a rivalry there between the two clubs now, so I'm expecting a good game," he said.
Andrew Philpott's men impressed in bouncing back from their round-one defeat and will be out to cut off Rohan Sergeant's midfield supply following the forward's 16-goal showing.
"They are another premier league team, so obviously we want to try and get a win," Philpott said.
"We lost to Deloraine, so that was a cross on our thing, we are looking to tick one off. We are looking forward to coming up against Gary and his boys, down there as well, so I expect another good game of football."

ROCHERLEA will host the season's first Friday night match-up as the Tigers take on University of Tasmania.
Holding off Old Scotch as rotations slowed towards the end of the clash, coach Andrew Cox-Goodyer is looking forward to their second division-one tussle.
"It will be good to get up there under lights again - it's been a while," he said.
"Obviously it's another team that we don't know much about, so we will just have to come in and play our brand of footy and hope it's good enough."
After identifying Rocherlea's key contributors for their clash, University of Tasmania coach Brodie Tiernan is looking to build on last week's growth.
As his side kicked 10 majors for the first time in seven matches, Tiernan was once again impressed with the work of Liam Guardia - who has regularly performed since joining last year.
"Chino's obviously pretty good - you can't really fault any of his footy skills," he said.
"He's got good hands, got a good kick, he runs really hard. He's obviously a massive contributor week-in week-out, it would be handy if we had another two or three like him."
Despite the injury news of Darren Crawford, the movement of Ethan Conway and the work commitments of Field Reeves, OLD LAUNCESTONIANS coach Laine Cleaver has pulled a rabbit out of his hat ahead of their Meander Valley clash.
Former South Launceston teammate Jordan Tepper has signed on for the Blues but Cleaver isn't getting too far ahead of himself.
"They got beaten pretty convincingly last week against Deloraine but teams can change week to week, so I'm not sure who they are going to have in," he said.
"We've just got to take the game as if we are playing a Deloraine or a Rocherlea and just come out as hard as we can, play the way we want to play and let the result take care of itself."

Describing last week as "difficult to do anything when you can't get a hold of the ball", Suns coach Damian Rhind is striving for improvement against a fellow division one side.
"It was a good experience for our guys to see what we need to keep striving towards, they play a very similar game plan to what we would like to play.
"Hopefully we've blown out a few cobwebs last week since it was their first game in some time."
SCOTTSDALE return to action against Old Scotch following the bye, with coach Ethan Petterwood impressed with what he saw from the Thistles last week.
"I went and watched them on the weekend and they were super competitive and they had some good players out there, so we are going to have to be on our game for four quarters if we want to win," he said.
Yet to face a division one side after tussles with Bridgenorth and Rocherlea, Old Scotch coach Brayley Coombes has described the Thistles' start as "tough" but is pleased with their effort.
"We are looking forward to the challenge as per previous weeks," he said.
"We will have some forced changes through injury and work commitments, which will mean our depth will be tested but we are lucky that we have plenty of numbers and we can give some guys an opportunity for more game time plus others an opportunity to have a game."
