Speed, drugs, alcohol and an unfastened seat belt were all factors in a crash at Prospect on Monday afternoon, Tasmania Police says.

The crash occurred about 5pm on the Bass Highway near the Southern Outlet.
According to police, a 53-year-old Railton man driving a gold Holden ute crashed into a steel pole and a tree before coming to a stop.
The man was the sole occupant of the car.

He sustained non-life threatening injuries - police say members of the public stopped to provide assistance.
Units from the Launceston Uniform, Public Order Services and Northern Road attended the crash.
Ambulance Tasmania and the Tasmanian Fire Service also attended the crash.
The man was transported to the Launceston General Hospital.
The vehicle sustained heavy damaged.
Police said the driver is expected to be charged with a number of traffic offences.
They ask that any witnesses who saw the ute or the crash contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Launceston Police Station on 6777 3945.
It is also believed the driver struck parked vehicles at the Wellington Street Coles prior to the crash.
