The court heard that he failed to remain on the scene of the Vermont Road crash and continued driving toward the city centre.

Defence counsel Mark Doyle did not apply for bail.
"This is a man who is institutionalised and who has suffered generational disadvantage," he said.
"He has come under enormous pressure to revert to his previous lifestyle and has been physically assaulted by people wanting him to toe the line and re-engage with criminal behaviour and engage with drugs.
"He continues to show enormous insight into his offending and I submit that this reoffending is a cry for help".
Mr Doyle asked that Fazackerley be remanded to a residential rehabilitation facility. Magistrate Sharon Cure remanded him to reappear on August 14.
Brandon Michael Charlesworth, 22, of Kings Meadows, did not plead when he appeared in front of Magistrate Simon Brown. He was granted bail to reappear on August 20.
A woman who was allegedly in the vehicle was summonsed to appear in November.
