Organiser James Harding said plans for the Launceston event were in full swing, despite some uncertainty over COVID-19 restrictions.
"We've been working closely with council to put together a festival plan and risk management plan," he said.
"The great thing about our festival is we can scale it up or down.
"So as far as patrons and customers are concerned, it will have exactly the same look and feel as it's always had."
In other news:
Now in its 11th year, Mr Harding said people could expect all of the usual Beerfest staples including music, comedy, food and craft beer stalls, kids entertainment and fireworks.
While accepting they might be limited to showcasing only Tasmanian produce and entertainment, Mr Harding said they would still be spoiled for choice.
"Stallholders are registering and there is a lot of interstate interest from some of those brewers, but again it's all subject to what the government's allow," he said.
"But the great thing is we have fantastic Tasmanian produce and whether that's food, beer, cider or wine ... Tasmania is well known for its produce."
Confirmation of Beerfest 2020 comes days after the cancellation of Falls Festival at Marion Bay.
Meanwhile, a social media post shared by organisers of the retired Party in the Paddock festival also teased punters with a potential new event.
"Hey Tassie ... so, what's our plan for NYE?" the post read.
PITP organiser have yet to make an official statement about a potential future event.
