Scott Rodney Pregnell, 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and stealing and one count of unlawful possession between April 26 and May 6, 2020.
In other news:
Defence counsel Grant Tucker said Pregnell had also returned 100 collectable (model) cars worth $2500 and a bicycle.
He had removed laserlite panel to get access to a shed in Gordon Square.
"When he's not using he has insight into his behaviour," Mr Tucker said.
"Drug use has largely ruined his life."
The court heard that Pregnell had only been out of custody for three weeks when he embarked on the latest offences.
He had a three month suspended sentence hanging over his head handed down in February, 2020.
Magistrate Ken Stanton activated the sentence and added another two months for the latest offences backdated to May 7, 2020.
"When you are thinking clearly you take steps to make it right," Mr Stanton said.
"This is another example of the social evil of illicit drug use particularly ice."
